General Robert E. Harris Memorial Aerospace Scholarship

Major General Robert E. Harris was a pilot, commander and combat veteran who spent the majority of his military career serving in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. In addition to serving our country, General Harris’ self-described calling was the mentorship of youth in aerospace endeavors. He supported countless individuals in pursuit of their dreams in aviation and aerospace. Read General Harris's bio here.

TAF is opening a scholarship fund to be awarded to an outstanding individual committed to enriching their skills and future in aerospace.

Qualifications for application are as follows:

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or higher degree program in an aerospace related field.
  • Enrollment or participation in a course of study leading to an FAA certification as a pilot, mechanic, air traffic controller or other related field.
  • Shows exemplary dedication to legacy and advancement of airmanship skills.
  • Demonstrate outstanding integrity as a leader and roll model in the aerospace community.

Applications will be accepted beginning in December of 2017 and closed on 01 APR 18.

The official award will be announced on or around Saturday 28 APR 18 at the quarterly TAF Formation Event.

Donations will be accepted beginning in September of 2017 until Spring of 2018. The goal for the fund is $2500. Donations can be sent directly to The Airmanship Foundation at the information listed below via regular mail or PayPal.
